Earth Hour has become the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment. It inspires and empowers individuals, communities, businesses and organizations over 180 countries and territories to take action for climate change and nature loss.
Every year, communities, youth and businesses across Singapore make the decision to switch off the lights as a symbol of their commitment.
In 2019, close to 100 centres, buildings, and storefronts joined the Hour to stand in unity – and call for urgent action. Among them are Samsonite, Wing Tai Retail, Orchard Road, National University of Singapore and Novotel Hotel Mercure.
